Merrilee Snell 

Biography
Ms. Snell was admitted to the California State Bar in 1982 and is licensed to practice before the Central District of California and before the Ninth Circuit of the United States Court of Appeals. She served as chair of the Immigration Section of the Los Angeles County Bar and on the executive board of Long Beach Women Lawyers. In 2006, she received the Honorable Benjamin Aranda III Outstanding Public Service Award for her tireless efforts on behalf of immigrants. She was also recognized by the Los Angeles Lawyer magazine as being one of the outstanding lawyers in California for using her legal knowledge and skills to obtain immigrant rights for the victims of domestic violence and HIV. (The Angel Awards - the state's outstanding pro bono lawyers)

Ms. Snell is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and she meets monthly with the Los Angeles District Director of the Immigration Service. She contributes to the immigrant community through her writings and lectures on immigration law.
